Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church  of God, RCCG, has denied cursing Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, the founder and General  Overseer of Trinity House.

Adeboye said some people were saying he cursed Ituah for leaving RCCG to establish  his own church.

“I don’t curse people, my duty is to bless.”

Adeboye who is noted for his silence over any issue, made it clear to mischief  makers that Ituah is his son and will remain his son and thereby “warns trouble  makers to mind their businesses.”

Ighodalo, who was a pastor in charge of Christ Church, one of the most flourishing  parishes of RCCG, situated at Gbagada, a suburb of Lagos, was relieved of his  pastoral duty over his decision to marry former Miss Lux, Ibidun Ajayi in 2007.

The church took the decision to suspend him because it believes Ighodalo’s action  will send a wrong signal to others if the church had been silent over it.

Adeboye said when what happen happened in apparent reference to the suspension of  Ighodalo from RCCG, he said the church rules needed to be followed to the letter, so  when he decided to leave, he cannot be stopped.

Ighodalo had earlier married Lucy-Ann Summer, who is a chartered accountant like him  but the marriage hit the rock as a result of the refusal of Lucy-Ann to follow Ituah  to Nigeria when the latter decided to permanently relocate to Nigeria.

Having waited for almost ten years to see if the wife of his youth would change her  mind and join him in his ministerial duty, Ituah brushed aside the Biblical  injunction by marrying his latest wife.

However, the flashy pastor waited for almost one year before he succumbed to the  pressure from his admirers to float his own church last August.

Speaking during the inauguration of the church, Pastor Ighodalo said: “I thank my  G.. O., Pastor Adeboye who said to me ‘Ituah, in spite of everything, I still  believe in you.’ He is in full support of what we are doing here today. I have his  full support.”

Sources told P. M. NEWS that before Pastor Ighodalo started his church, he went to  the General Overseer to seek his blessing. It was equally gathered that Ituah’s  mother is a close relation to the General Overseer of RCCG.

Adeboye had warned his Pastors during the last ministers’ conference of the church  held at Redemption Camp before the church’s annual convention last August that only  death can make any pastor of the church re-marry. He said, whosoever, wants to  divorce can do so if such minister is ready to relinquish all spiritual duties in  the church, adding that every member had a right to leave the church if such person  cannot abide by the rules and regulations of the church.

Pastor Adeboye has, however, promised to go to Trinity House, Ighodalo’s church to  minister very soon.
