Police Nab 2 Robbery Suspects
The police in Lagos South West Nigeria have arrested 2 robbers along Awolowo Road, Ikeja, Lagos.
The suspects Michael Joseph and Okoro Sylvester were arrested by Anri Robbery Police team attached to Ikeja Divisional Headquaters.
P.M.NEWS gathered that on getting information that robbers went operating along Awolowo road, the divisional police officer in charge of Ikeja police station, Mr. Deacon I.O Edgal, a Chief Suprintendent of Police, CSP, dispatched a team of Anti Robbery Officers to the scene. On sighting the police, the robbers were said to have opened fire while the police responded and after sometimes the duo of Michael Joseph and Okoro Sylvestar were arrested while other members of the gang fled with bullet wounds.
Items recovered from them during the arrest include one locally made pistol and one live cartridge, the case have been transferred to the state criminal investigation department, SCID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
