The customers of Red Star Express courier company have been treated to its special annual interactive session tagged Customer Forum and rewarded with numerous fabulous prizes.
The 14th edition of the annual forum which was held in Lagos witnessed an impressive attendance from Red Star Express customers in Lagos and its environs. It featured a motivational lecture designed to strengthen the intellectual breath of the customers most of which work in blue chip organisations.
It also featured music and entertainment for leisure and relaxation and raffle draws which enable most of the customers go home with mouth watering gifts like Blackberry and Visafone dual mobile phones, free weekend-for-two ticket at a Four Points Hotel, business-class return-ticket to Europe and many more, courtesy of Red Star Express and its partners – Visafone and KLM airline.
In the lecture titled Corporate Governance, delivered by Professor Pat Utomi, foremost academic, boardroom icon and politician, the strategic and complementary roles of corporate organisations, business management and governance were identified and highlighted.
Speaking at the occasion, Managing Director of Red Star Express, Mr. Sule Bichi, who was represented by the executive director of the company, Mr Muyiwa Olumekun, expressed gratitude to the customers at the event.
He said that their presence was a clear demonstration of the good relationship the company shares with its customers.
According to him, one of the key challenges of modern day business is the ability to deliver desired services beyond the customer’s expectation and by so doing retain the customer’s loyalty.
He said that, “the Nigerian business environment is in a state of flux with increased competition in the market place and changing attitude in terms of consumer needs and taste. The business environment is now more than ever before conscious of the impact of corporate social responsibility in the organization’s area of operations. This therefore calls for a change in business models.”
