A pro-Fashola group, Lovers of Raji Fashola Campaign Organisation (LORAF) has urged critics of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola to stop blackmailing him, saying it is a waste of effort that will have no effect on the governor’s second term ambition.
The group, led by its Chairman, Bishop Biodun Olugbenro, was reacting to advertisements in the newspapers accusing Governor Fashola of misappropriation of state funds and non performance.
Bishop Adegbenro described Governor Fashola as one of the best performing governors Nigerians have witnessed since the advent of the nation’s democracy, stressing that “he has positively change the face of Lagos within his shortest time in office. The governor’s impact has been felt in virtually all the local government areas within the state.
“Governor Fashola constructed and rehabilitated schools and roads. Within three months, he repaired Ikorodu and Oshodi roads. He brought about easy transportation system through BRT and for the first time, he created street indicators in virtually all the streets of Lagos.â€
Reacting to the picture of bad roads in the advertisements, Bishop Olugbenro said the roads have been in that condition for several years even before Governor Fashola’s predecessors, stating that the governor cannot do everthing within the shortest period in office.
