Following an armed robbery incident during which TheNEWS magazine staff, Mr. Sola Olaosebikan was brutalized, injured and robbed on 30 October, 2010, the case was reported at the Festac Police station.

Corporal Michael Adoyi of the Anti Robbery Department, was appointed as the investigating police officer to the journalist. A few days later, a  man bought the journalist’s purse, which was stolen during the incident, to his house at Block 413, Flat 6, Jakande Estate, Mile 2.

Consequently, Mr. Olaosebikan called Corporal Adoyi and told him about the development. But since then, all efforts to see the police  corporal has been futile as he was never present in the office, even after calls had been made to him by the journalist.

Mr. Olaosebikan then contacted ASP Gana, a member of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, of the area. But ASP Gana was at a loss why such an issue would not be treated with utmost expediency.
