Imo Monarchs Endorse Ohakim

Traditional rulers in Imo State, under the aegis of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, after their third quarterly meeting at Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri, resolved to support Governor Ikedi Ohakim’s second term bid.

In a communique signed by the chairman of the council, HRH, Eze (Dr.) C.I. Ilomuanya (CON) and the secretary, chieftaincy, Imo State, Chief Jude Okorie respectively, it was agreed that Governor Ohakim has recorded “unprecedented achievements” that he needed to be encouraged to continue in office for a second term.

The communique stated further that the entire traditional rulers in Imo State are highly satisfied with the extra-ordinary and superlative achievements of the governor.

They therefore resolved that for the quantum of achievements recorded by the Ohakim administration within three years, “all the traditional rulers in Imo State hereby give His Excellency, the governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, unconditional support and royal blessing for second term come 2011.”
