Osotimehin Not Fit For UN Job —Fawehinmi

The head of Gani Fawehinmi Chambers, Mr. Mohammed Fawehinmi, has written to the  United Nations, UN to reject the nomination of former Nigerian Health Minister,  Prof. Babatunde Osotimehin for a UN job.

In a letter to the Secretary General of the UN, Mr. Ban ki Moon, Fawehinmi said when  the former Health Minister appeared before the National Assembly, he could not  justify his spending of the budgetary allocation for the health of Nigerians.

The scion of the late legal icon and rights activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, said  through Prof. Osotimehin’s incompetence prominent Nigerians lost their lives.

Some of them, he claimed were: Former President of Nigeria, Alhaji Umaru Musa  Yar’Adua, former First Lady, Mrs. Maryam Babangida and the masses’ mouth piece,  Chief Gani Fawehinmi.

According to a letter Mohammed Fawehinmi wrote to the UN scribe through electronic  mail, he claimed the former health minister’s incompetence also led to preventable  deaths from diseases like malaria, cholera among other sundry diseases.

He therefore called on the UN to reject his nomination for any job as Nigerians  reject him because he was a failure as a public officer in Nigeria.

He expressed support for Mr. Bunmi Makinwa.
