Road Construction: Community Lauds LASG

Residents of Ifako/Gbagada in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Sout West Nigeria, have commended the state government for the construction of Yetunde Brown Street road linking the community to other parts of the state.

In an appreciation to Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, the state governor, one of the leaders of the community, Engr. (Prince) Adeoye Ogundunmade, the Oluomo of Somolu-Bariag and Ifako/Gbagada, stated that by constructing the road, the state government has put indelible footprints on the sands of time as well as put smiles on the faces of the people.

“This is in fulfilment of the promise the governor made that before the expiration of his first tenure in office, he would put smiles on the faces of the people of Ifako/Gbagada by constructing the road.

“By this action, you have put an indelible footprint on the sands of time,” the chairman of Canada Inn, Gbagada stated, while reassuring the governor of the community’s unflinching cooperation and support at all times.

The community also expressed gratitude to the representative of the area in the House of Representatives, Mr. Dayo Bush, for the provision of water and a transformer to Soluyi and Ifako.

Thanking the lawmaker for the kind gesture, an Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) chieftain and a ward chairman in the area, Chief Odunlami and Alhaji Akodo respectively, said by his action, the people of the area will continue to give the necessary support, while wishing him a successful tenure at the National Assembly.
