Tipper Loses Control, Crushes House, SUV
Occupants of a house on Denro Adigboluja Road, Akute, Ogun State, escaped death yesterday when a tipper loaded with sand suffered break failure and rammed into it.
Three vehicles were also destroyed in the accident.
Two of the cars, a van with registration number RX 914 KJA and a Hyundai car with registration number EJ 807 EKY were crushed where they were parked near the house.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the third car, a jeep with registration number SR 789 KJA that was coming from the other side of the road was also crushed by the truck.
Immediately the accident occurred, occupants of the house rushed out and expressed shock at the incident. They thanked God that the vehicle did not crushed them inside the house. Passersby also joined them in thanking God for saving their lives.
The occupants disclosed that one of them, identified as Segun, was injured in the accident.
Investigations also revealed that the driver of the truck ran away after the accident.
Policemen from the local station later came to tow the vehicle to their station. As at yesterday, the vehicle was seen inside the station.
