16 Teams For Alaro Super Cup
16 teams are expected to feature in this year’s Alaro Super Cup.
The competition is sponsored by Zillion Abfolad Investment Limited. The competition is also organised in memory of Alhaji Mufutau Olaniran Jimoh, who died about 11 years ago.
Chairman of Zillion Abfolad Investment Limited,Jimoh Abioye confirmed to P.MSports that only four teams have registered so far. The registered teams are Messiah FC, Sporing FC, Marvellous FC and Zenith FC.
He stated that this year’s edition will be different, warning that only the clubs that have track records and are organised would participate in the championship.
“A lot of clubs have come to us for registration but we are not satisfied with their track records. We want to avoid what happened in the last edition, so we have decided to register only the clubs that have good records for this year’s edition,â€Â he said.
He said the organisers still need credible clubs to register for the competition, saying that by the time the required numbers have been completed, the draws will hold at the match venue; Teachers Training College Football pitch, Ifako-Ijaiye, in Lagos, Nigeria
