Be Your Brother’s Keeper —Makinde

The Prelate, Methodist Church, Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Ola Makinde, has congratulated  Nigerians, especially the Muslim community, on the celebration of the Ed-El-Kabir.

While charging them to be their brothers keepers at all times for peaceful  co-existence, Dr. Makinde enjoined them to emulate the  transparent love of Abraham  for God through  obedience to his dictates by wanting to sacrifice his only child,  Isaac, but was quickly compensated with a ram from God.

“This is a great lesson to us all that since our God is a God of miracles, it is  pertinent to sacrifice for the best convenience of others in order to move the  nation forward, positively, constructively, gainfully and meaningfully,” the Prelate  stated.

The Prelate urged Nigerian, Muslims to wholeheartedly embrace Islamic injunctions in  their respective calling as true reflections for a greater, better society and  nation, “where no man is oppressed.”
