The annual Ikeja Allstarz Concert is around the corner again. On 4 December, the concert will line up top and fresh Nigerian musicians for another show-stopping performances at Motherlan’, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
This year’s show tagged Lagos Shutdown, already has an intimidating line up of artistes ranging from the old to the new. They include Fatai Rolling Dollar, Kefee, Freewindz, Mo’Cheddah, Skuki, Sliq, Annette Cookey, Goldie, Jaywon, Chuddy K, Samklef, Cartair, Side One, Terry Da Rapman, Plus One, Stella Monye, Harrisong, Ego, The Supremes, The Pulse, Klever Jay, Seriki, Jayblaze, Kayefi, Wise, Dude Tetsola, Danny Young, Yungsix, DJ Zeez, Tha Suspect and Ill Bliss.
At the event that will have other attractions such as the blue carpet reception, will be an exclusive big screen performances of the late rap star, Da Grin, at the 2008 edition of the concert and will be broadcast to the entire world live via the internet.
The idea behind Ikeja Allstarz is to bring together talented and established star acts under one roof to celebrate the entertainment industry. It also aimed at showcasing raw talent, networking and honour individuals who have contributed to the growth of the industry in the year it is hosted.
The event has honoured the likes of Femi Anikulapo-Kuti (Grammy Award nominee), Gbenga Adeyinka and Tajudeen Adepetu with Grand Achievers Honour in the previous editions.
