Octogenerian and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, chieftain in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, Alhaji Abudu Rasak Oyekan Keye, has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the Osun State governorship candidate in the April 2007 election, Engr. Rauf Aregbesola for victory at the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan led by Justice C. D. Ogunbiyi.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS at a special prayer session organised for Aregbesola at Oyekan Keye Memorial Mosque, the ACN chieftain explained that the purpose of the prayer is victory for Aregbesola at the next sitting of the Court of Appeal. He added that with prayers and fasting all things are possible.
While expressing optimism over Aregbesola reclaiming his mandate, Chief Keye said Nigerians are truly and strongly behind him as they will continue to pray and fast until his mandate is restored to him.
The Aare Musulumin of Shashaland described Aregbesola as a man of virtue, a political icon and astute politician committed to the rule of law and good governance in service to humanity.
Dignitaries that participated in the prayer session include ACN Ward Chairman, Alimosho, Mr. Ibrahim Abiodun, Hon. Surugudeen Adeleye (Mekiti), Engr. Soji Oshiyemi, Barrister Ayo Olugbenro, Chief Sunday Amure and Alhaji Sakirudeen Keye among, others.
