The Managing Director of Fairway Golf Nigeria Limited, Joseph Abu, has promised a better outing in the forthcoming Ikoyi Club Golf Championship, which tees off on 27 November at the Ikoyi Club, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Abu, who was a past winner of the championship, told P.M. Sports that he has what it takes to win the tourney again.
He is banking on his current form, which he said is enough to take him far in the championship.
“I am looking forward to the championship and I am upbeat about my chances in the tourney.
“I have won the cup before and I want to win it again, at least to make my fans happy,†he said.
Abu, who is a member of the Ikoyi Golf Club, said the championship is only meant for registered members of the club.
He said the tourney is an avenue for the participants to showcase their talent and that it would offer an opportunity for social interaction among the club members.
Two hundred and fifty players are expected to feature in the tournament which will last for two days.
Meanwhile, the Ikoyi Club Golf Captain, Dapo Akande, said this year’s edition will be better organised and urged the participants to play according to its rules.
