Mr. Shakirudeen Alabi Ajidagba, has promised to better the lot of his people if he  is voted into the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2011 elections under the  platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN as it was time for the youths to  take over.

Ajidagba, a 2006 graduate of Business Management from the University of Lagos said  he wants to contest because he was moved by the plight of his people in Constituency  2 of Lagos Island as the area has been stagnant with no real development.

“Most of my people in Constituency 2 have not tasted the dividends of democracy and  one day I asked myself, ‘are we not in Lagos?’ Things must change. That was what  made me decide to contest for election into the State Assembly to better the lot of  my people,” he said.

Ajidagba who said he has lived all his life in Lagos State, stated that he is going  to the State Assembly to continue the struggle to better the lives of his people  within the constituency.

“Education, health, youth development and empowerment among others have eluded us  for too long. These are areas that need to be looked into and improved upon. Service  to humanity is my guiding principle,” he added.

“We, the youths are calling for change in our constituency and we are aware of the  moneybags. We are ready for them. We don’t have money to throw around but we have  the confidence of the people. You can fool some people some time but it will  difficult to fool everybody all the time,” he said.
