Nigeria Premier League side Ocean Boys, who were trounced 5-2 by Enugu Rangers at the weekend, have named Larry Eceli to take over the team from Kennedy Okogba, who has been suspended indefinitely.

Ocean Boys spokesman, Eddy Ohis, told MTNFootball.com that this decision was taken at an emergency management meeting on Monday.

“Eceli is Okogba’s immediate assistant and has been asked to take over the team for our next game at home to Sharks,” said Ohis.

The 2005 league champions are now rock bottom of the table with only a point from three matches. Ocean Boys are the second NPL outfit to effect managerial changes after three weeks of action after Erasmus Onuh “stepped aside” at Bukola Babes on account of internal wrangling.

Ocean Boys are grappling with money problems, but Ohis assured that this will soon be a thing of the past.
