The Regent of Mowo town in Olorunda Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, High Chief Philips Akinola Ajose, has charged the council boss, Mr. Amida Abudu, to make good the promises he made to the entire community.

Ajose, who gave the charge in a chat with LG Circuit, explained that since the third tier of government is closest to the people, it behoves on the chairman “to renew our hope that democracy is better than any form of governance through provision of basic social amenities.”

According to the regent, “most of the roads in Mowo that people always complained about have not been rehabilitated. Not only that, our community still lacks drainage channels, transformer for electricity, potable water, schools, community hall and motor park, among other things.”

He advised the council chief on the need to improve on service delivery while enjoining his subjects to continue to pay their taxes and other levies promptly.
