Portuguese Scout Thumbs Up 36 Lions Tourney

The recently concluded tournament organized by 36 Lions Football Club has been given a pass mark by one of the Portuguese scouts who witnessed the event held at the FIFA Legacy Pitch, National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Antonio Alberto of Gestifute, Portugal watches all the matches played during the tourney held between Monday, 15 through Thursday, 18 November, and submitted that Nigeria has an array of talents in football.

Apart from praising the managements of 36 Lion Football Club for hosting a standard and well organized tournament, which featured 11 teams from Lagos and one from Ogun State, Alberto revealed that he saw some future footballers in the event.

“I’m impressed with the organization of the tournament, especially the way players of participating teams conducted themselves. In terms of talents, we saw some promising players who can play themselves into big time football, but they need to be monitored in their trainings,” the Portuguese scout, who works with Destifute, managers star players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Coach Jose Mourinho.

The organizers of the tourney revealed that about 11 players were discovered during the event, and would be monitored till February next year when the scouts, Alberto and his colleague, Tiago Calisto visit Nigeria again.
