As the 2011 general elections draws nearer, the Action Congress of Nigeria,  AC N, in United Kingdom has assured Nigerians that the election will be credible, free and fair as all hands are on deck to achieve that.

Speaking with our correspondent, the chairman of the opposition party, AC N in London for the South West, Otunba Ayodele  Balogun, maintained that the progressive are ready to wrestle power form the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP in all the six south west states in the country.

According to the Odolewu- born technocrat, “We have resolved to actively participate in this coming elections. What is going on in the country is not encouraging. Considering the human and natural resources we have in this country, we are not making use of them and this has resulted in us becoming a laughing stock among the comity of nations.

“We have traveled far and wide and we can see how democracy is being run. Those  at the helm of affairs in our country are self centered and wicked, especially those in the South West. We have agreed now to support every progressive minded politician that is ready to serve the people.”

Balogun carpeted the Ogun State government for governance which according to him has not assisted the state.

“What is going on in Ogun State is worrisome, despite all the good hands and brains that we have in the state, some cabals are holding the state into ransome and in the last three years, nothing good has come out from the state. Enough is enough, these people at  the helm of affairs should not be allowed to rule us again. I know OGD very well even before he became the governor, but when the political abracadabra of the PDP was perfected and he was selected as the candidate, we all over there knew what will end it; everybody can now see. By next election the Action Congress of Nigeria, AC N which is my party will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that we liberate the state from the bondage we find ourselves,” the UK chairman of AC N assured.

Meanwhile, the body had resolved to storm the country early next year to begin a state to state tour of sensitising the electorates in what they described as operation flush away the cabals from Yoruba land.
