Lorry Brand Football Club have maintained their unbeaten record following their 2-0 victory over Hangchan FC in the ongoing C Woerman Youth Football Championship which began on Monday at the Astro Turf Football pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos State.

Lorry Brand FC had earlier defeated defending champions, C.Woerman FC 1-0 in their opening game and draw against Jost FC which earn them a place in the quarter final.

Chidi Akunato and Paul Omomo of Lorry Brand scored two goals in the second half to confirm their supremacy over Hangchan FC in an encounter watched by a few spectators on Tuesday.

Lorry Brand coach, Ikechukwu Fidelis, boasted that having won defending champions in the group stage, no team can stop them from winning the tournament. He warned Jost FC to forget the three points when they confront them in today’s encounter.

“My players are going to the final. We are not afraid of any team. It will be a disappointment if we don’t win the cup this year,” said Fidelis, who commended his team for maintaining an unbeaten run in the competition.

Chairman Organising Committee, Ossy Nwokeabia, expressed satisfaction with the quality of play and organisation. He said the competition will also help the local coaches and football agents to scout for best players in the tournament.
