Lagos NATA Goes To The Polls

Nigeria Automobile Technicians Associations, NATA, Lagos State chapter will hold its general election to vote for new executive officers who will run the affairs of the association from 2011.

The election  was one of the major highlights of the agreement reached in Lagos recently between the reconciliation committee headed by Chief Adewale and the leaders of the two groups Chief Claudius Akinnola and Alhaji Ksali Obisesan, during the settlement of the six years prolonged crisis and hostilities within the association.

The chairman of the reconciliation committee, Chief  Adewale while addressing the general meeting of the association held in Lagos thanked the two leaders (Chief Claudius Akinola and Alhaji Kasali Obisesan, for the  respect, support and cooperation they gave the committee to agree to put the ugly past behind us and move the association forward

While recognising the invited guests and representatives of the Lagos State government, Chief Adewale said “it is in order to proclaim the end to this protracted hostility that we have called you all to be witness to the end of factionalization of NATA, Lagos State chapter, adding that no more crisis, no more war, God has perfectly taken control at last peace is back to NATA.”

The chairmanship aspirant Chief Waheed Ayinde Oladejo, a.k.a. Aropo, who spoke with our reporter in his office at the Ojota mechanic village in Lagos, noted that the situation of NATA Lagos State chapter was a matter of concern to all, it was not only everybody’s right but every members’ responsibility to ensure that meaningful co-existence, well focused positive and efficient administrative policies would be established to take the association to a new great heights.
