Despite a tenth European Tour win last week in Hong Kong, Ian Poulter doesn’t have any plans to decrease his number of PGA Tour appearances.

The 34-year-old won last week’s UBS Hong Kong Open after coming close in each of the previous two European Tour events in Shanghai and Singapore, and has moved up to 11th in the world rankings.

Now he has loftier ambitions of climbing even higher up the list, and deciding how he plans to divide his time between the two tours will be a crucial part of his strategy.

Many of Poulter’s fellow European stars like Martin Kaymer, Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy have recently expressed their commitment to playing more in Europe, where the Tour has increased the number of mandatory events from 12 to 13 for next year, but Poulter isn’t about to follow suit.
