General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church worldwide, Prophet (Dr.) Samuel Kayode Abiara, has congratulated the new governor of Osun State, Engineer Rauf Aregbesola, on his victory at the Appeal court.
The Appeal Court on Friday declared the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship candidate in the 2007 election the winner of the election by a unanimous decision.
Commenting on the judgment in his speech to mark the 25th anniversary of Agbala Itura in lagos, Prophet Abiara commended Aregbesola for his doggedness and perseverance in pursuing his cause. “I also commend the judiciary for their fairness and courage to uphold the truth,†he added.
Prophet Abiara appealed to the immediate past governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola to take the judgment in good faith. “I commend him for his maturity and wish him well in his future endeavours,†he stated.
The CAC general evangelist called on the Federal Government to prosecute those arrested in connection with the October 1 bombing in Abuja and the shipment of arms into the country. “This will serve as a deterrent to others. I am warning all the wicked people to desist so as not to face the wrath of God,†he added.
Prophet Abiara also encouraged Nigerians to come out en masse and register during the voters registration exercise and ensure they vote during the 2011 elections.
