The Criminal Investigation Department, Force Headquarters, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria, has ordered a Lagos law firm, Cliford M.S.M. Company, to produce an accused, Mr. Albert Ezenwarie, an auto dealer, before the Tapa Chief Magistrate’s Court on 30 November, 2010.
The accused is facing a four-count charge of conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, forceful entry, house breaking and stealing.
In a letter with reference number CB 3514/X/LEG/Vol.23/4 dated 23 November, 2010, addressed to Barrister Yinka S.O. Campbell, the Managing Counsel of the law firm and signed by ACP Joseph Adenokun of the Legal Department of the force, dated 23 November, 2010, read: “Offence conduct likely to cause breach of peace, forceful entry, house breaking and stealing against Albert Ezewanne.
“Investigation has been concluded on the above matter. Legal advice has been rendered whereby Albert Ezewanne is to be arraigned before a competent court of jurisdiction soonest.
“In view of the above, you are requested to produce Albert Ezewanne ‘your client’ before the Chief Magistrate’s Court, Tapa Street, Lagos, on 30 November, 2010 for arraignment. Your cooperation in this regard is highly necessary.â€
