A Lagos-based technician, Mr. Babatunde James Odumosu, has entered the race to represent Epe Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Nigeria in the lower chambers of the National Assembly under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

The technician-turned politician, during a fund raising dinner for his aspiration,  said that he has chosen to be a catalyst for a positive change based on conviction that it is people that make a place, not a place itself.

“In view of this, I hereby offer myself to the services of humanity and my immediate constituency and our great country, Nigeria. I will join hands with other prominent Nigerians in fighting poverty to its roots,” Odumosu asserted.

“Critics asked, ‘Odumosun, don’t you think it is too late to join the race because there are so many front runners in the game of politics?’ My response has always been, it is never too late, it is when you are being called upon to serve that you will obey the call.”

The aspirant opined that nation building is a collective responsibility and total involvement of all and sundry. He then proposed some models to reduce the suffering of his people.

“This includes job creation through youths empowerment programmes; free primary healthcare; agricultural supports for our farmers and supports for the aged and old indigenes.

“Others are computer training and appreciation; commodity-based development projects; scholarship for Epe indigenes and wealth creation through back to land agricultural systems for youths,” he said.
