A case has been brought before the Igando-Ikotun Grade B Customary Court, by a woman, Mrs. Yinka Kareeb, who claimed that her husband, Musa, threatened her with charms.
She also accused her husband of frequent fighting during which he threatened her with charms.
Mrs. Kareeb, a 37-year old building materials dealer said that due to the nature of her job, she entertains lots of customers both male and female, but her husband does not want to understand as he always accused her of having affairs with the male visitors and when she tried to explain her relationship with them, he beats her up.
She also claimed that her husband is fond of cursing her while she claimed that he possesses local charms which he ties around his waist and because of this, she said she refused to have sex with him.
Mrs. Kareeb also accused her husband of stealing her money after which he would run away from home for a whole week in most cases.
However, Mr. Musa Kareeb was not in court to defend himself and his whereabouts were unknown.
The marriage between the couple was blessed with five children and they had been married for 24 years.
The case was adjourned till 7 December, 2010.
