The kingmakers, residents and a group, Isheri Oshun Indigenous Youth Forum, have appealed to the state governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, to hasten the approval of their oba-elect, Alhaji Samsudeen Amoo Mojeed to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy in the community.

In a statement made available to P.M.NEWS and signed by the four ruling houses of Isheri Oshun namely Idowu, Asho, Abeleyi Oka and Ogundeji, said the absence of a monarch in the community has created room for some unscrupulous in the neighbouring communities to parade themselves as the paramount ruler of Isheri Oshun.

According to one of the kingmakers, Chief Shitta Abeleyi, stated that since the late traditional ruler, Chief Raufu Dada, joined his ancestors, no other baale had been installed, so anyone laying claim to that title is an impostor and should be disregarded.

The kingmakers, while applauding Governor Fashola for his wonderful performance in the state, urged him to approve the endorsement of Alhaji Mojeed by the four ruling houses in Isheri Oshun as the Oba of the town to promote additional development.
