Imo 1st Lady, Others To Be Honoured

The First Lady of Imo State, Barrister Chioma Ohakim and the Head of Personnel of Saipem, Dr. Alphonsus Okwese are among prominent Nigerians who will be honoured at this year’s African Leader Per Excellence Award.

Also to be honoured at the event, the third to be held in the country, are Major General Apata Lanrewaju (Retd), Justice Shehu Ibrahim Ahmad, Dr. Elizabeth Benz and a Special Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor, Dr. Godwin Taylorto.

In a statement signed by the organiser and Managing Director of Accolade Communications, Dr. Luke Okojie, the event which is scheduled to hold at the  Transcorp Hilton Hotel on 11 December would also feature a presentation by inspirational speakers and resource fellows on: Leadership, Strength and  Quality For National Growth and Development.

“The idea is to celebrate these great African men and women as the pride of this continent and this generation,” part of the statement read, adding that awardees are “agents of hope, whose zest and zeal for excellence , passion and commitment are really for the good and progress of Nigeria and indeed Africa.”

The event is being organised in collaboration with the International Institute of Comparative Leadership For Africa and Blacks in the Diaspora, a Pan African Development Organisation.
