The Progressive Movement Students Association chapter of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, has commended the Nigerian judiciary for its boldness and courage in pronouncing Governor Rauf Aregbesola the rightful chief executive officer of the state.
In a congratulatory message sent to Governor Aregbesola who was on Friday declared by the Court of Appeal in Ibadan as the duly elected governor of Osun State in the 2007 election, the students noted that the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, flagbearer deserved his hard won victory.
The president of the O.A.U Ile Ife chapter of the student’s group, Comrade Dasylva Olanrewaju said the group not only commended the judgement but associated itself with the authentic governor of Osun State.
Dasylva added that the progressive students have been yearning for a progressive governor like Aregbesola for a long time. He thanked God for this dream that the appellate court has made possible.
