The tourney, which is supported by the Governor of Lagos State, will hold on 22Â December at the Indoor Sports Hall, Rowe Park, Yaba.
Technical Director of the association, Adeniji-Adele Adegboyega, said they are expecting 20 clubs across Lagos State to take part in the one-day event.
Adegboyega said the tourney will allow sports lovers to watch the game during the yuletide period.
“We have submitted our proposals to the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Development to Babatunde Raji Fashola. Immediately our proposal is approved, we will commence full preparation ahead of the tourney,†he said.
Adegboyega, who is a lecturer on Kickboxing at the Nigeria Institute for Sports, Lagos, said a day before the tournament, there will be a seminar for School Game Masters and other officials.
“The essence of the seminar is to allow the officials and School Game Masters to know more about the game and the new rules governing the game. We are doing this as part of our awareness programme lined up for the year,†he said.
