The chairman of Coker/Aguda Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, Hon. Aliu Kazeem has said that only people of sound morals and educational background could effectively represent the people of the grassroots in their yearning for dividends of democracy.
Speaking exclusively with P.M.NEWS, Kazeem enjoined the electorate to vote wisely in the forthcoming 2011 general elections by voting for the Action Congress of Nigeria, which is set to produce people who are trusted and ready to deliver the dividends of democracy, and rescue Nigerians from the impoverished situation they are presently undergoing.
“The best way one can serve the people is by bringing meaningful development to them in terms of qualitative health care system, good system of transportation, empowerment programmes for both the young and the old and also ensuring availability of the necessary amenities that will make life more meaningful for them, and that is what we have been doing in Lagos State, under the sublime tutorship of the Governor Raji Fashola-led administration and with guidelines from our great party, the ACN, and that is also what we are bringing to the fore at the national level,†he stated.
The council boss also congratulated the Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola over what he called a hard-earned and well-deserved victory at the Court of Appeal. He described the victory as an act of God and that the judgement is a clear indication that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man. He added that Aregbesola’s victory is a clear indication that the ACN, as a party of progressives is set to take over, and no amount of rigging can deter the party.
