Police Arrest Woman For Theft

The police in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria has arraigned a woman, Ann Madu, before the Apapa Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing phones of  regional control officer worth N131,000.

In charge No. E/137/10, the police prosecutor, John CPL alleged that Madu stole two phones, blackberry worth N52,000 and E-series Nokia phone worth N79,000, from a regional control officer on 4 November, 2010 at Keenrite Limited at FinBank, Randu Road, Apapa, Lagos State.

The offence, according to police prosecutor, is punishable under Section 390, Code 17, Vol.11, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

She pleaded not guilty to the charge and  the presiding magistrate, H.O.A Amos, granted him bail N50,000 with one surety and two years tax.
