The Somolu/Bariga, Lagos branch of The Continuity Team (TCT), a group canvassing for Governor Babatunde Fashola’s second term in office, has urged Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State to be fair to all in his day-to-day running of his administration’s policies and programmes for the people, irrespective of religion and political inclination.
Speaking through its supervisory coordinator, Prince Kunle Oyekanmi; Primate S.A. Shojobi, coordinator, Somolu; Chief S.A. Ayoade, coordinator, Bariga and Alhaji (Chief) Ademola Alabi, the Baale Owode, Bariga, the patron, Aregbesola, according to the group, should not allow himself to be distracted from operating an open door policy he pledged during his inauguration, describing his emergence as a new dawn and liberation for the entire people of Osun State.
These were contained in a congratulatory message dispatched to the governor and made available to P.M. NEWS last weekend.
The group called on all the people of Osun State to rally round the governor for his tenure in office to be as successful as that of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos, reiterating that what the new governor needs is the cooperation of all and sundry for the state to witness unprecedented growth structurally, economically and socially.
“We in The Continuity Team, Somolu/Bariga branch, are sure that the governor’s qualities and confidence reposed in him by all the progressives in Nigeria and the good people of Osun State will serve as a thrust for him to transform the state to an enviable position like Lagos, where he had worked for many years,†the group said.
