MOT, SUBEB Win HOS Cup

The male team of the Ministry of Transportation, MOT and the female squad of State  Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB are winners of the 2010 Lagos Head of Service  Soccer Championship tagged HOS Cup.

Sunday Akintoye reports that The MOT team beat Lagos State Health Service Commission  3-0, while SUBEB whitewashed Chief of Staff team 10-0 in the final matches played at  the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria yesterday.

Solomon Odume’s two goals  in the second half and Kabiru Adio’s goal in the 85th  minute were all that the MOT needed to emerge champions of this year’s edition.

Speaking with P.M.Sports, Head of Service, Segun Ogunlewe, expressed satisfaction  with this year’s tourney, saying the participants gave good account of themselves  throughout the tournament.

Both MOT and SUBEB teams went home with trophies and the sum of the N200,000, each  while the first runners up in both categories went home with N100,000.
