An elder statesman in Ward A, Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Alhaji Hassan Akerele, has praised the fomer governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for having the foresight to bring in an achiever like Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.
Speaking during a press briefing at Onigbongbo, Baba Akerele as he is fondly called, praised Tinubu for having the good qualities of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
“Having served Baba Awolowo for years as his personal aid, I was able to know the kind of being he is, and now I see the same quality in Ahmed Tinubu, at least Lagos has turned into the London of Nigeria. People can sleep with eyes closed, people can walk freely at Oshodi, Ajegunle, Idumota, Iddo etc. That’s the work of Ahmed Tinibu because he spotted the good qualities of leadership in Raji Fashola.
The elder statesman called upon all Lagosians, especially politicians, to back Bola Tinubu and Fashola in making Lagos a megacity of our time. “I want Lagosians to follow Ahmed Tinubu because he means well for the state,” he said.
Akerele also praised the leadership of Bola Tinubu and ACN for recapturing Osun State and prayed for him to capture the remaining states in the South West of Nigeria.
