Mr. Kayode Adejare Omiyale, member of the Action Congress of Nigeria, and aspirant to the Federal House of Representatives, Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency, says he’s the most qualified candidate in his constituency.
Speaking recently with P.M.NEWS in his Yaba, Lagos, southwest Nigeria residence he said: “My contribution to the development of the entire Lagos Mainland local government area will always speak for me anytime anywhere.â€
Omiyale who has been vibrant in Lagos Mainland politics since the era of Social Democratic Party, SDP, said he was the right candidate for the position among the numerous candidates that are vying for the same position within the ACN.
He added that he was also an active member of Democratic Party of Nigeria during the era that preceded the June 12, 1993 saga.
The teacher turned politician, who was also the Education Secretary of the Lagos Mainland Local government area stated that he would use his knowledge in administration to further advance the cause of the constituency among the committee of local governments, come 2011 if he is given the mandate.
According to him, he is only responding to the yearning of the people, as the decision is not his personal one, but that of the generality of the Mainlanders.
Born in Ebute Metta, Omiyale said that he was not an outsider that knows nothing about his constituency. According to him, he that wears the shoes knows where it pinches. So he is going to use his knowledge and experience to move the constituency to the next level, by complementing the efforts of the Lagos Mainland and Yaba Local Government Chairmen.
