Dansol Honours Teachers


Parent Teacher Association, PTA, of Dansol High School, Acme Crescent Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos  State celebrated their teachers by organising a gala nite last weekend.

Mrs. Adun Akinyemi, the Executive Director, DANSOL High School, said the PTA has provided a smooth flow of information between parents and the school, describing the union as school and home working together to bring about the will of God in the lives of children.

Akinyemi also praised the PTA for their relentless efforts to promote the school through provision of computers in the school computer, a 25kva generator, a 270 kva generator, a Toyota civilian 32 seater bus and  manual typewriters in the business studies room.

She said the contributions made by Dansol School to the community and government include free water supply for the host community, Agidingbi, regular mending of exit road on Acme Crescent, donation of a block of toilets to Agidingbi Senior Secondary school, donation of nursing equipment to Agidingbi Nursery and Primary school, among others.

“Working at Danso means a lot. The leader here do beyond teaching. They counsel, tutor, watch, care and norture student to ensure tht the vision is fulfilled,” she said and also appreciated Mr. Esan Oladapo, who is a star and man of many attributes.

At the gala nite, Miss Lyner Iyaifor, who is a student delivered a poem of appreciation to the teachers and awards were presented to the teaching and non-teaching staff.

The awards include the Best Male Teacher, junior school, Mr. Olalekan Gbadamnosi; the Best Male Teacher, senior school, Mr. Chimaze Odimadu; the Best Female Teacher, junior school, Mrs. Egbo Oyiseiyefio and the Best Female Teacher, senior school, Mrs. Ngozi Nwanke.

Others are the Most Inspiring Teacher, Mrs. Famokunwa M. O, the Best Security, Mr. Owen Odu, the Best Supporting Female Staff, Mrs. Kate Ayanwale and the Best Hostel Staff, Mrs. Tolu Oluyere.
