Following the spate of killings of journalists in the country in recent times, a  Lagos-based journalist with the Nigerian Compass, Mr. Dele Alao, has called on the  Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Musa Daura, to come to his aid and that of  his family members as he alleged that a couple who are his co-tenants are on their  trail.

According to the journalist, the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Mabel Isiobeth Uwane, who live  in the Agbado area of Ogun State, have threatened to kill him and his family members  for having access to their secrets.

“I don’t really know what secrets that have kept them on our trail. At a point, they  sent their surrogates to beat up my daugher on her way from school, while I have  also been assaulted.

“I am, therefore, appealing to the police authority to investigate the activities of  this couple so that another journalist will not be killed in the country just like  that. Perhaps they have secrets which they think or believe that I know as a  journalist,” he said.

The case has been reported to the police at Sango, Ogun State for investigation.
