Secretary General of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON, Patrick Okpavuerhe, has applauded the standard of game displayed at the ongoing 2010 President Unity U-17 Boys Soccer Tournament.
The grassroots soccer championship hosted by Bayelsa State government is taking place at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
After watching a few matches in the tourney, Okpavuerhe commended the participating teams, saying the future of the game looks brighter.
Okpavuerhe urged the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and Nigerian football coaches to attend any YSFON organised tournament to discover talents.
“There is no doubt that it is only in YSFON that you can discover burden talents of real junior players,†Okpavuerhe said.
Meanwhile, the last game of the round robin matches will be played today, while quarter and semi final games hold tomorrow and Saturday respectively.
Nine states of the 36 states of the federation are taking part in the week-long championship.
