Youths have been urged to always seek ways of bettering their lives now rather than believe that the future belongs to them.
Mr. Matthew Chukwuemeka Oguaju gave the advice during the launch of the First National Youth Affair Companion handbook entitled Nigerian Youth, Key To National Development, in Lagos recently.
Oguaju, author of the book and member of Nigerian Institute of Management, also called on leaders in the country to provide an avenue where the Nigerian youths can contribute their quota to the country’s development.
He said the book would assist in developing the youths and the country at large, adding that he saw the need for the youth to be well informed on matters that will help them academically and generally.
He stressed further that the book will also prepare them to fit into the educational system of Nigeria and assist them programme their personal curriculum into the school curriculum, while it will open their eyes to overcoming poverty in the country because the youths are the most affected by the level of poverty in the country.
By reading the book, he said, they would know what to do to overcome the problem.
He called on government at all levels to provide an enabling environment where youths can showcase their talents and help national development.
