The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Alhaji Dikko IndeÂ Abdullahi, has reiterated the readiness of his management team to improve and moveÂ the service forward. The Comptroller General who stated this last Tuesday at aÂ stakeholders forum in Apapa noted that the aim of the forum is to position theÂ service to meet its responsibilities at all times.
Represented by the Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Enforcement andÂ Investigation, John Atte, Abdullahi pointed out that although the service is meetingÂ up with its responsibility of generating revenue for the government, there is needÂ for the service to wake up to the challenge posed by modern day InformationÂ Communication Technology (ICT).
The challenge, he said, can only be achieved through integrity and the personal pushÂ to always do what is right. Abdullahi called on stakeholders, officers and portÂ users to give maximum cooperation and understanding in order to achieve the setÂ goals of the service.
