The Lagos State Fire Service at the weekend was given an award of excellence in service delivery in the area of health, safety and environment by the EKO awards organisation at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The organisation gave the award to the state-owned outfit headed by Adedayo Aderemi Ajose, the Director of the service because it has performed more than expectation in safety and fire fighting services in the state.
The Chairman of EKO Awards Board of Director, Mrs.Helen Irene Efue, said: “As our maiden edition we tried all best to pick the best in our society
“You can see that the service rendered by this outfit especially in the state has improved for some time now and the way to encourage them is to give them this award .
“We also use the opportunity to say well done to the director of the outfite for the good work he is doing in the state,” she added.
