Gani Fawehinmi Chambers has described the death of elder statesman, Chief Anthony Enahoro, as a devastating blow to Nigeria and called on government to immortalise him for his struggle in ensuring that Nigeria got its independence.
Mohammed Fawehinmi, head of the chambers, who made the call also commiserated with the governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on the death of his wife and with the family of the late fuji musician, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister.
Fawehinmi described the death of the Nigerians as “tripple blow to Nigeria.â€
It blamed the death of some Nigerians including President Umaru Yar’Adua, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Mariam Babangida and many others on failure of government to equip the country’s health institutions to treat some diseases.
He called on both executive and legislative arms of government to come together to reinvigorate, repackage and regenerate the country’s health and educational institutions in accordance with the provisions of Sections 13 to 18 of the 1999 Constitution.
