‘Speaker’ll Not Decamp To ACN’

Dimeji Bankole, the Speaker of the House of Representatives has described as “false†and “a figment of imagination of hack writers†that he planned to decamp from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.
Musa Ebhomiana, Media Assistant to the Speaker who spoke with P.M.NEWS on the report that the Speaker was planning to leave the ruling party this morning said there is no logic in the story.
Some reports had indicated that the Ogun State born Speaker was planning to dump PDP, the platform on which he was elected into the lower chamber of the National Assembly with members of the party from his constituency.
Musa said the Speaker has everything to lose and nothing to gain by leaving the PDP, especially now that he is at the end of his tenure.
“Does it make sense to you that the Speaker who was made the number four person in the country as a result of his membership of PDP will leave the party six months to the election,†Musa said
