2 Arrested Over Stolen Goods

The police in Lagos have arrested one Bishop Godsent, 34, for allegedly receiving goods and money stolen by a suspect, Ebuka Chukwu, 34.

Chukwu was alleged to have broken into a pharmaceutical company and stolen a huge sum of money and  products valued at thousands of naira.

The theft occurred on 74, Agbado Station Road, Ijaiye, Ojokoro, Lagos, South West Nigeria.

The police allged that Ebuka Chukwu on 6 June and 30 November, 2010 at Agbado Station broke into Remson Investiment Nigeria Limited and stole N470,500 cash  and some  pharmaceutical products, valued at N592,230, property of Remi Ozuba, the Managing Director of the company.

The complainant reported the theft to the police and the  suspect was arrested at a hideout.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and mentioned Bishop Godsent as the receiver of the stolen money and goods.

But Bishop Godsent denied receiving any stolen money and goods from the suspect.

The duo have been arraigned in court, P.M.NEWS gathered.
