Awujale Fires Aide

The Paramount ruler and Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona has fired his long time Personal Assistant (P.A), Mrs Fisayo Akodu over what the monarch described as insecurity.
A palace source who confided in our correspondent revealed that the monarch has been monitoring the activities of the lady in the palace.
“Kabiyesi has been watching her for so long, he has even directed some of us to keep tab on her due to her attitude in the palace. What caused hersackwas that she allegedly made a call through to the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland, Chief Bayo Kuku who is at loggerheads with the Awujale.
The call was picked by Baba’s children  who in turn dialed the palace number back and lambasted the caller, but unfortunately, Kabiyesi picked the phone and was bitterly worried over the development. This made Kabiyesi to take the drastic action sensing a foul play from her end,†the source revealed.
The source, however, disclosed that several allegations have been leveled against the former aide which had made both the Kabiyesi and his wife, Olori Kemi Adetona, the owner of the popular eatery, K Royal inIjebu- Ode lose confidence in her.
PMNEWS gathered that the former aide is a staff of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Council and she had spent over 10 years in the palace as a personal aide to the monarch.
It was learnt that the monarch is discussing with the council authority for a replacement urgently for the palace work to go on.
Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebu land and the Ogbeni-Oja of Ijebu land, Chief. Bayo Kuku, were very close before a misunderstanding strained their relationship.
