Lobi Stars FC has attributed their heartwarming away point against Heartland in Owerri on Sunday in week 9 encounter of the Nigeria Premier League to mother luck.
Spokesman of the Makurdi outfit Atom Tokula told SuperSport.com that the Naze Millionaires outplayed them, adding that their hard-earned away point must be found within the confine of divine luck.
“We were lucky to earn a point from the match. Heartland lost about four scoring chances, sometimes you play better and still lose or fail to achieve the desired goal, that is the greatest undoing of Heartland on Sunday.
“Heartland are a good team. I think coach Siasia did wonderful job there before he moved to the Super Eagles, he selected the best young players. I can only say that God was on our side and gave us the Sunday, 2 January , 2011 gift.â€
Lobi points haul have shot up to 11 and will host bottom placed JUTH FC in the week 10 duel and Tokula was emphatic that having survived Heartland’s scare, they are ready for JUTH.
“Heartland gave us real scare, they are good and tough, so for us to have wrestled a point from them means we are good and I do not see JUTH escaping bashing, we will roast them,†he said.
