Dynamic’ll Shock Pro Clubs In Lagos FA Cup
Femi Folarin is the Team Manager of Dynamic Football Club of Agege, Lagos State. He spoke with SUNDAY AKINTOYE about his plans for the club in the New Year
Sir, what are your plans for Dynamic Football Club of Agege?
I plan to register the club for big competitions this year. The club will take part in Lagos State Challenge Cup, Boska Cup, Oba’s Cup and other high profile soccer competitions.
Your Club played in so many competitions last year but failed to win any trophy. Don’t you think there is problem in the club?
There is no problem in the club. We played in the final of Passo Cup last year, unfortunately, Ladoje FC defeated us 4-2 in a penalty shootout. We also reached the semi finals of some competitions. I think all we need now is to work hard to win at least three trophies before this year runs out.
Which competition would you like to win this year?
I would like to win Lagos FA Cup and Boska Cup. If my team can win these trophies, I’ll be satistied, while the club will be popular in Lagos.
Considering the number of professional clubs like Bridge Boyz, First Bank and some others, that will be tough opposition, don’t you think it will be very difficult to win Lagos FA Cup?
You are right, but don’t forget that these teams you mentioned are beatable too. Dynamics will shock professional clubs in the Lagos FA Cup.
How many players are in the team now?
I currently have 30 players. The club started in 2007 with coach Orioye Ikuomola  before I joined them. Presently, we are searching for a good coach who will handle the club this year.
Dynamic are playing their semi final match today against Future Hero FC of Iyana Ipaja in the Production Cup, what are your expectations?
My expectation is to win the match. We defeated Future Hero 1-0 in the group stage. I will be happy if we can beat them again. Our target is to lift the cup. This will boost the confidence of the players to do more in the New Year.
