We Have Fixed 156 Roads —Lagos Government

About 156 roads have been maintained in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria, according to the state Public Works Corporation.

While some of these roads were constructed, others were maintained using crushed stones, asphalt premix & interlocking paving stones as palliative measure by  the corporation.

According to the Executive Chairman of Corporation, Gbenga Akinola, “we complete between eight and 10 roads per week. Of all these, 46 roads were completely  maintained with asphalt premix and spread throughout the state with Badagry, Ikorodu and Epe inclusive.

“Presently, massive maintenance activities are on-going in 19 different locations such as Ashabi Cole, Adekunle Way, and Akanni Doherty in Ikeja Local  Government Areas.”

Other areas according to him include Ipaja-Ayobo Rd, Shasha Rd and Palace Road in Alimosho Local Government; Ogundele Way, Okota Road and Oke Afa-Ejigbo Road  in Osodi Isolo Local Government; Oba Ogunji Road and Agunbiade Street in Agege Local Government.

Roads also undergoing repairs include Bale Adeyemo, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government; Old Olowoora Road, Isheri North Road in Kosofe Local Government; Old  Ojo Road in Amuwo Odofin Local Government; Akin Olugbade Street, Victoria Island, Eti Osa Local Government; Ayetoro Road in Epe Local Government and  Vetho/Fransisco Road, Ajara, in Badagry Local Government.
