Lagos ACN Remains Party To Beat —Lawmaker
A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Babajide Akinloye says with the endorsement of Governor Babatunde Fashola for second term, the Lagos State Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN remains the party to beat in the coming elections.
Akinloye, a House of Representative aspirant under Eti-Osa Federal Constituency said the way and manner the issue was concluded was an indication that ACN had the best form of internal democracy strategy, devoid of crisis and rancour which are prevalent in other political parties.
According to him, “ACN has shown how democracy should be practised and nurtured with the seamless manner it has conducted its activities. I am convinced of effective and responsible stewardship by redefining representation which I have displayed since 2003 at the State House of Assembly.â€
Akinloye, who is the House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Works pointed out that if given the mandate, major challenges facing the Federal Constituency would adequately be taken care of, with a pledge to call the attention of the Federal authorities to those problems.
On the forthcoming voters’ registration exercise, the lawmaker stated that massive participation in the exercise was the surest way of electing people or party of choice in the April general elections, adding that people of voting age should not display lukewarm attitude to the exercise which remained the precursor to a better electoral system that Nigerians have been clamouring for.
